Give Claude a live, secure read on your Google Ads account in about five minutes — then ask it anything. This guide covers claude.ai, Claude Desktop and Claude Code, using the Lauvenn Search connector. It reads your account by default; changes land only when you approve them.

Create a free Lauvenn Search account and connect Google Ads
Sign up at lauvenn.com and choose Google Ads as your first platform. Lauvenn Search asks for read-only access by default — we only request write access if you later switch on approved changes. Authorization uses Google's official OAuth flow; you never paste credentials anywhere.
Copy your connector URL
In the Lauvenn Search dashboard, open the Claude connector card and copy your personal connector URL. It is unique to your account and scoped to the ad accounts you connected — anyone with the link cannot see your data without your Lauvenn Search login.
Open Connectors in Claude
In claude.ai, go to Settings → Connectors (on mobile: Settings → Connectors & Directory). This is where Claude manages external tools it can use in chat.
Paste the URL and add the connector
Choose "Add custom connector", paste your Lauvenn Search connector URL, and give it a name like "Lauvenn Search Ads". Claude will register the connector and list the tools it exposes — account read, campaign read, and the proposal queue.
Click Connect and authorize
Press Connect on the new connector. A Lauvenn Search authorization screen appears; approve it and Claude is linked to exactly the accounts you connected in step 1. You can revoke access from this screen at any time.
Start a new chat and ask your first question
Open a fresh chat, make sure the Lauvenn Search connector is enabled, and try one of the starter prompts below. Claude will pull live data from your account and answer with the numbers attached.
Prefer chatting from the desktop app? Same connector, different door.
Open Claude Desktop → Settings → Connectors.
Under "Add custom connector", paste your Lauvenn Search connector URL and confirm.
Restart the conversation and enable the connector with the tools icon.
Ask away — Desktop can also read your Lauvenn Search weekly report files if you save them locally.
For teams who live in the terminal, Lauvenn Search works as a remote MCP server.
Run claude mcp add lauvenn-ads --transport http <your-connector-url> in your terminal.
Authenticate when the browser window opens — the same Lauvenn Search authorization screen as claude.ai.
Use /mcp inside Claude Code to confirm the tools are listed.
Now prompts like "audit last week's search spend" run against live data straight from your project.

Connector doesn't appear in Claude
Custom connectors need a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise). Check Settings → Connectors and refresh the page after adding the URL.
"No tools available" in chat
Open a new chat and enable the connector from the tools (plus) menu — connectors only apply to chats started after they were added.
Authorization loop when connecting
Make sure you are signed into the same Lauvenn Search account that generated the connector URL, and that your Google Ads connection completed in the Lauvenn Search dashboard first.
Claude says it can't see recent data
Lauvenn Search syncs hourly. Very recent changes (last hour) may not be visible yet — ask again in a few minutes or check the sync timestamp in your dashboard.
Numbers look slightly different from the Google Ads UI
Google Ads attribution windows and conversion delays mean totals shift over time. Lauvenn Search matches the Google Ads API exactly, which can differ from UI default date ranges.
Is it safe to connect Google Ads to Claude?
With Lauvenn Search, yes. The connection starts read-only — Claude can see campaign data but cannot change bids, budgets or ads. Write access is something you switch on, and even then every change is a written proposal with the math attached, and nothing touches your live account until you tap approve.
Do I need a paid Claude plan?
You need a Claude plan that supports custom connectors: Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise. Free claude.ai accounts don't include custom connectors.
Can Claude make changes to my Google Ads account?
Only through Lauvenn Search's approval queue. Claude drafts the change, Lauvenn Search shows you the expected impact, and nothing is applied until you approve it.
Does this work with Microsoft Ads too?
Yes. Lauvenn Search connects Google Ads and Microsoft Ads to the same Claude conversation, so questions can span both platforms — including cross-platform budget overlap.
What about Google Analytics and Search Console?
Both connect through Lauvenn Search as well, which is how Claude answers questions the ad platforms can't answer alone — like which keywords bring visitors who actually convert on-site.
How much does Lauvenn Search cost?
